Turkey Day

This year for Thanksgiving, we headed to Memphis to hang out with my family.
Here was our simple but pretty table, set by me and my sister.

Is Hayden sticking his finger in the ham?

Apparently so, because there is Gram . . . she's about to get him:)

My dad set up a tv and game station in one of the closets.  The boys loved this!

Hayden and Miller, my sister's dog.

Not sure what Tyler is doing.  Maybe he's dancing?

Hayden's Thanksgiving Lunch

Hayden had a Thanksgiving lunch at school.  He was so excited about wearing his Indian vest and feather headband.

 How cute is he?

Hayden diggin' in!  Their lunch consisted of chicken nuggets, corn, mandarin oranges, and cookies.

Hayden and his friend Hayes.

After school, Hayden built this with Legos.  I am pretty impressed with his abilities.  If you will notice, this was built symmetrically - exactly the same on both sides:)

Mac 'N Bones

We decided in the middle of November to have a family fun night out.  We chose to play miniature golf. You might ask why in November, but this particular night was very comfortable outside.  We had a great time, enjoying togetherness!

Festival Of Trees and Lights

Tyler's school has their annual Festival Of Trees and Lights which is the school's biggest fundraiser each year.  During this week, the kids have songs they've been learning as well as playing instruments.

Tyler with his hands in his pockets.
Tyler's instrument was jingle bells.  They had to ring the bells on the beat.  He did very well.

Isn't he so handsome?  I can't believe I big he is getting.  I think Tyler looks a lot like Corey here.

Secret Church

I had the opportunity to go with the college group from my church to Secret Church at The Church at Brook Hills just outside of Birmingham.  What an experience!  We studied through God's Word from 6pm until 12:30am!  Not only that - there were over 3,000 people there.  Praise the Lord!  The topic was the Body of Christ - who is the church and what does the church do?

We cheapen the church in many ways when we must cherish the church because we love the Glory of God.

If you have an opportunity to go, I highly recommend it.  Check it out at secretchurch.org.

Whistler

Tyler has just nailed down the "whistle"!  He has always tried blowing air through his puckered lips, but all that came out was air.  But now he has got it!
