Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was a fun time this year.  The boys got DSi game systems.  If you call it a DS, they will quickly correct you and say it's a DSi.

This was Hayden's big present - Legos.  (As if we don't have enough already!)

And Tyler's big gift was Hunting paraphernalia.  The boots.

The Camouflage bibs and coat.

New MSU shirts!  GO DAWGS!  Beat Michigan!

And the gun.

Stocking Time!

Tyler is testing a gun out.

Where did Tyler go?  Oh, he has blended in with the leaves!  Tyler is so pumped about his 22!

The Calories are Lowing

So, this year, Hayden has been singing, and singing, and singing, and singing Christmas songs galore.  This year, I must say that his favorite has been Away in the Manger.  The second verse really says, "The cattle are lowing, the poor babe awakes."  Hayden must be thinking about his Daddy who has been talking about calories so much lately with his new fitness plan.  So Hayden's version of the second verse . . . "The calories are lowing, the poor babe awakes."  LOL  Hayden cracks me up all the time!

Hayden's Christmas Program

Just a couple of pictures from Hayden's Christmas Program at school.  His class did such a good job.

Hayden is the one at the top on the left smiling big:)

He has come such a long way!  The last program he sat with his hands covering his eyes because he did not want anyone to look at him.  LOL!!!!

Santa's Wonderful Magical Sleigh

Tyler's Christmas program at school was too cute!  Tyler got to dress as one of the reindeer.

Tyler also had a speaking part.   He led us in the Pledge to the Bible.

"I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God's holy Word.  I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.  I will hide its words in my heart so I might not sin against God."  He did a great job!

This is Santa's Workshop.  I help paint all the windows.

Tyler and his friends.  Payton, Nicholas, and Cody is in the back in the dark brown suit.

Ring the Bells

Corey and Hayden had a chance to ring the Salvation Army bell this Christmas Season.  (Tyler was at school.)  I think having children ring the bell helps.  It seems like more money was given when a child was ringing the bell:)

ALL ABOARD - This is the Polar Express

The Day after Thanksgiving, we met up with Hayley and Jason and took our children to The Polar Express outside of Birmingham.  I was very impressed.  We dressed in our pajamas (just like in the movie).  While we waited to board the train, we played at the train station.  Here are the boys

Here's Hayden waiting inside the train station.

All the kids standing at the gate before we got on the train.

Hayden and Jack

Here's Anne Reece.  Isn't she too cute?

We got a visit from one of the conductors.

What's that in Hayden's hand? . . . Tickets, please!

Elves boarded the train after a stop at the North Pole and passed out jingle bells.

I just had to get a picture of the elf shoes - fabulous!

The kids got chocolate milk and cookies. (Tyler thought we were going to get hot chocolate like the movie, but could you imagine really giving all the kids hot chocolate?)

Hayden with another conductor.

We had a great time.  Dressed in our PJs, we boarded a real train.  We sung songs on the way to the North Pole.  We stopped at the North Pole (we did not get off the train) and Santa and Mrs. Claus got on  so the boys got to see them, too.  We drank chocolate milk and ate cookies, and we also received a present.  The boys had a blast!
