Tournament Time

The boys played at Shiloh Park for a Memorial Day tournament.  They were up against some stiff competition since all of the teams have been playing together for at least 6 months or longer.

Sweet Hayden . . . following Tyler around the ball field.

Coach Romano giving the boys a pep talk.

Coach Sansing leading the boys in prayer before their first game.

Tyler played in the outfield during this tournament.

I think that the team was just really, really nervous.  It's like they thought they were playing against kids 3 times their size.  But they weren't.  This was their very first tournament as team Orange Crush.  They will get it together.

Summer Camp

This year, Tyler went to camp at Twin Lakes. He went Monday through Friday and spent the night!  He was so excited - I was nervous.  Tyler has spent the night away from home that long before, but it was with family.  I have been away from him that long before, but I could at least talk to him on the phone.  I couldn't talk to him any.  I think I was in worse shape.

My bags are packed, and I am ready to go.

Just arrived at camp.  Tyler and his good friend Payton.  About to catch a ride on the golf cart to take them to the cabin.

Tyler settled in the cabin and getting a feel of the bed.

Last picture before I left him.

Tyler took a disposable camera with him.  There was no telling what kind of pictures he was going to take.  So here are the few that actually developed:)

Friday - pick up day!  I was so excited to see my Tyler.  I missed him so much!  They had a great time.

Tyler with his counselor Mr. Michael.

I soooo wish I could have been there to see all that they did and take pictures.  I am supposed to be receiving a cd with pictures in the next month or two so hopefully I can post a few more pictures.

Tyler said that went horseback riding, archery, rifle shooting, canoeing, huge water slide into the lake, swimming in the pool and the lake, frisbee golf, volleyball, and so much more.  Tyler's favorite game they played was Capture the Flag.  Each day they had a devotion and learned about Jesus and how he grew and wisdom and stature.  Good times!

Hey - No Training Wheels!

Since Tyler went to camp, Hayden went to stay with Gram and Granddaddy for a few days.  While he was there, he was very determined to ride his bike with no training wheels.  After a few bumps and scrapes, he had it nailed down!

Way to go Hayden!  The very first thing he did when he got back home was to show me his new abilities on the bike without training wheels.

Hayden specifically asked that I take pictures of him.  So here they are:)

Central Mississippi Orange Crush

Once again, Tyler is playing summer baseball.  It's not All-Stars this year.  He is on team Central MS Orange Crush, a tournament team which means that the team will stay together once summer is over and continue to play.

Tyler loves baseball and wants so much to do so well.  Here is a first picture of the team.

Don't they look like the kids you would see in The Sandlot?  Too cute!

Tyler's Birthday Party

Tyler had a fun birthday party.  It was supposed to be Saturday, May 14th but baseball games were rescheduled due to weather  and they were scheduled to have a double header that Saturday.  So we postponed the party to Sunday, May 22.

Being the art lover that I am, I thought it would be fun to have a painting party.  I'm not sure I knew what I was getting myself into.

There's a picture of the cake - it was supposed to look like a paint palette.

Jackson, are you really fishing with a football helmet?

Here are some after party pics.  Remember I mentioned that Tyler was having a painting party?  Well, I was so enthralled with leading the painting instructions that I failed to get pictures of them all painting.  So I took pictures after the party.  Sorry Tyler.

This is what most of their paintings looked like when finished.  We painted crosses and then mod podged words - Faith, Love, Hope, Believe - onto the cross.

I hung paint cards from the garage door (see picture above).  Cute and free decorations.  You can pick these up from any Lowes or Home Depot FREE!

I know you had a fun time at the party, Tyler.  I don't think it matters what kind of party you have. . . As long as you get a bunch of boys together, y'all could have just played with nerf guns and had a blast!  We love you!
