Mother/Son Night

Our church hosted a Mother/Son Night.  This year, only Tyler and I got to hang out because Hayden had a baseball game.  It was good that Tyler and I hung out by ourselves since we haven't had time like Hayden and I have.  We had a good time at this Western/Cowboy themed party!

Tyler's and Hayden's friend Benton.

Looking good, Cowboy!

Lance

Our friends Gabby and her two sons Benjamin and Joseph.

All that helped organize this event.  Thank you!

Eating some grub!  We ate dirt and worms (chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos and gummy worms, also had Butterfinger icecream bites - that was the bomb!)

Boys are so much fun!

. . . Swing Batter!

Tyler absolutely loves baseball.  He is starting off the season on his team playing second base.

Swinging for the fence!

Coach Corey:)

Get you a good hit, Tyler!

Hayden Baseball

Here is Hayden at another game.  Hayden, are you baseball ready?  I don't think your teammate in the picture is ready!:)

Looking for the right pitch.  Halfway through the season, the T was removed all together and it became coach pitch only.

I think he hit a good one!

Batting Cage Up!

For almost a year now, we have had the pieces to a batting cage lying in the yard.  Our friend Chris graciously let us take his batting cage that his children used growing up.  It's on loan to us until he might have grandchildren that play, at which time it will be returned.

Our friend Michael helped Corey put the poles up and re-attach them (you see the poles were cut because they were originally sodered  when the cage was first put together).  Then Corey and I rented an auger to dig the holes to set the pipe sleeves that the posts would slide into.  We set them in concrete.

After they set over night, Pappaw came over and helped Corey move the posts into the sleeves.  Then Corey and I hung the net.

We accomplished this project in one weekend.  Corey and I are actually very proud of our work.

Now balls that are hit in our yard will not go in the lake (our entire yard slopes downward to the lake).

Will this project pay off?  Maybe it will help towards a baseball college scholarship:)

Weekend with Gram and Granddaddy

We love when Gram and Granddaddy come in town.  We don't get to see them all the time, so when we do , it's a special time.

Dying Easter eggs

Hunting eggs - what Eggtraordinary Fun!!!

Hayden found one!

How many do you have, Tyler?

Hayden on his way to get one that was really obvious:)

Field Trip Ready

Tyler loves going on field trips at school.  This one was planned for the Petrified Forest.  I was not able to go but still got a few shots before he left.

Such a cutie!

Silly boy:)

Cutter, Wutter, Butter, Hutter

That is what I call our dog Cutter, and you have to say it really fast!  He is such a sweet dog.  But lately, he has decided to run past our underground fence and head over to the neighbors.  Apparently there is a female dog or smelled one in the air.  As he would do this, he would come home with wounds and then one day he was gone and didn't come back for 5 days.   We were so worried.  He returned with major, multiple wounds.  Off to the vet we went who took care of Cutter and got him some antibiotics.  We LOVE Cutter, Wutter, Butter, Hutter!

Spring Soccer Tournament

I was only able to capture a few photos of Tyler's soccer tournament.  I was at the baseball fields during most of the tournament because Hayden had a baseball game.  It's so hard to be torn between games and different sports.

Way to go Tyler and his MS Brilla team!
